Professional Partnership in Cognitive Care
LDB Clinical Neuropsychology provides high-level diagnostic and functional evaluations for adults, adolescents, and children (8+).
We act as a consultant to your practice, providing the objective cognitive data needed to clarify complex presentations, monitor disease progression, and inform treatment planning.
We prioritise clear communication, clinically rigorous reporting, and a timely turnaround for all referrals.
Areas of Clinical Consultation
We accept referrals for a wide range of neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions, including:

Neurodegenerative Disorders: Differential diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, Vascular Dementia, FTD, Lewy Body Dementia, etc.

Movement Disorders: Cognitive profiling for Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s, and Essential Tremor (including pre-DBS screening).

Cerebrovascular Events: Post-stroke cognitive mapping and TIA follow-up.

Acquired Brain Injury: TBI, brain tumours, hypoxic injury, and toxic/metabolic encephalopathy (including Alcohol-Related Brain Damage).

Neurosurgical Support: Pre- and post-operative monitoring for tumours, NPH (shunt studies), and epilepsy resection.

Neurodevelopmental Profiles: ADHD, ASD, ID, and FASD assessments using objective psychometric batteries.
Capacity & Medico-Legal: Independent evaluations of decision-making capacity (Financial, Personal, Health, EPOA) and fitness for duty or driving.

How to Refer

Specific referral question (e.g., "Clarify diagnostic profile," "Assess capacity for EPOA," or "Baseline for surgical monitoring").

Copies of recent neuroimaging (MRI/CT/PET) if available.
Appointment Duration & Fees

Duration: Most comprehensive evaluations require 3 to 7 hours of clinical contact time to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

Reporting: A detailed clinical report is typically provided to the referring practitioner within 3-4 weeks of the assessment completion.

Funding: We accept private referrals, WorkCover, NDIS (Self-managed or Plan-managed), Bupa ADF, and DVA. Please note that Neuropsychology is not currently covered under Medicare rebated Mental Health Care Plans (MHCP).
